Bonzo Update

Well, it’s been a bit since I’ve posted some information about my brother, Bonzo. Some sad news, his brother, Bruin, passed away in June. Below is a picture of Bruin:
Then, to keep Bonzo company because he said he was getting a little lonely, his family picked up a distant relative of ours to bring home. His name is Rocky.
And, as you can see, Bonzo is now the big brother! I’m sure Rocky is in good hands. Here they are together:

For those of you who aren’t up with the latest, Bonzo is my brother (twin – well, we’re two of six) and thus, had our 3rd birthday Friday! Here’s what he wrote:
Happy Birthday Bro!
Wanted to pop in and say, “Isn’t it great being 3?” Happy Birthday! Did you get any cool presents? My mom and dad forgot until around midnight! Oops! I think we’re going to celebrate today! I have become a very lazy pug lately since it’s been so cold outside. Plus, I do my “duty” quickly when I’m out there! Hope your adding a little spice to life at your home like I do. My grandma got me a quacking duck which I’ve become very fond of. Usually I like to dig the eyeballs, tongue or anything protruding out of my toys. But I love this duck and like to give him many kisses. My brother Bruin also has one and I make sure whenever possible I have them both!

Hey Bro!
Great to hear from you! Happy Birthday to you, as well. Mom just got back from Florida, today, so we are going to celebrate my birthday tomorrow! I’m so looking forward to a new plush toy or something. My favorites are Tommy the Tomato (number 2), Puglet a stuffed Pug, and Manny the Menorah! Do send a picture of the quacking duck! I’d like to be able to show Mom and Dad what to get me for March – I expect new toys monthly.
What’s your secret to doing your “duty” quickly? I’ve got to do a couple laps around the park and sniff out the area, first. I think it annoys Dad from time to time, but that’s somewhat entertaining to me.

I must say that was a quick response from Bonzo, my brother. He was even kind enough to send a few pictures, too. I’ve added them to the Bonzo picture page. Can’t you tell we’re bros?

Here are a few of my latest pictures. I check your website regularly to see the updates. My mom and dad have been walking my brother and I because we have been gaining weight. I weigh about 25 lbs! I have not lost my ornery streak and am forever taking off with laundry, socks, shoes or whatever is lying on the floor. I love to sleep late in the summer with Bruin, I’ve even learned that taking a nap in the sunshine feels good for awhile then I get hot. I don’t have to sleep in my kennel anymore when my parents leave…they actually TRUST me! They say I have a little of the devil inside me. I’m still early to bed most nights. I’ve grown a few gray hairs on my chin, how about you? Thanks for keeping in touch!

What a wonderful night! I still, however, am not happy with being left alone most of the day. But…Mom and Dad said that they were out “networking” and “doing business”! I guess I’ll let it slide this time.
